How to turn off automatic hardware wizard update? - hardware driver update

I have a new Lexmark X1200 printer. It comes with printing, faxing, copying and scanning.

My problem is that Windows still recognizes the printer and install the drivers automatically. When I saw the driver from the CD, I can not install additional features such as scanning and photocopying. I tried to install the driver on my laptop and another that works well because the windows on my laptop asked me to auto / manually by the driver and I stopped. I have the supplied CD and it worked well.

How do I disable the autopilot hardware detection under Windows? I'm running Windows XP SP1
